Part-Time Contractor (Registered Clinical Counsellor)
At Creative Horizons Counselling, we believe healing and growth happen through connection, creativity, and play.
We’re looking for a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who feels at home on the floor with a child, who understands the language of art, movement, story, and stillness—and who finds joy in supporting young hearts as they make sense of their world.
About the Role
This is a part-time contractor position for a counsellor trained in working with children aged 10 and under. You’ll provide child-centred, play-based counselling and collaborate with caregivers in a supportive, trauma-informed environment.
Our team is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and creativity. We value autonomy and authenticity—and we love working alongside clinicians who bring both professionalism and heart to their practice.
What We Offer
Flexibility in scheduling and session pacing (Fridays, Saturdays, and weekday mornings)
A beautiful, fully furnished play and expressive arts space
Administrative support and referrals from our established clinic network
A collaborative, creative team culture that honours self-care and growth
What You Bring
Registration in good standing with BCACC (RCC designation required)
Training and experience in play therapy, expressive arts therapy, or child-centred approaches
A gentle, attuned presence and a willingness to meet children where they are
Commitment to trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and strengths-based practice
Bonus Skills (Lovely, but not required)
Experience supporting parents or families
Knowledge of AutPlay, Filial, or other integrative expressive models
Comfort integrating nature, movement, or creative modalities into therapy
How to Apply
If this feels like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Please send a short cover letter (tell us a bit about your approach!) and résumé.
